About

Hello! I’m a licensed psychiatrist with a whole-person approach to mental health. I combine psychotherapy, lifestyle medicine (stress, sleep, eating, and mind-body practices), and medications when appropriate.

Feel free to bring your  questions and concerns around preparation or integration for non-ordinary states (whether from breathwork techniques, drumming, near-death experiences or psychedelic experiences you may have had).

I treat a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other common and complex conditions.

My approach emphasizes warmth, openness, empathy, and nonjudgement.

I have particular interest in working with experimental therapies, depth psychodynamic psychotherapy, exploring root causes and how past experiences might affect our current lives, using workbooks together, and CBT which focuses on how our thoughts and behaviors impact our wellbeing.

I aim to stay current with trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally sensitive care, acknowledging the impact that trauma, stress, and systemic influences like racism and discrimination can have on mental health.

I enjoy working with adults in La Jolla, Solana Beach, and via telemedicine across the State of California.

My medical training was at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York followed by psychiatric residency training at Stanford with a psychodynamic fellowship through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis and a psychedelic certificate pending May 2024 from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
