Dr. Itza Rivera, MD is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) and fellowship trained in Neuromuscular Disorders. At Getting Well Physiatry we evaluate problems interfering with your daily function such as pain (including neck pain and back pain), numbness, weakness, tingling, muscle spasms, loss of balance, and difficulty walking. We evaluate symptoms of nerve pain or muscle pain to get to the root cause.

Fibromyalgia Program and Diabetic Neuropathy program: Dr. Rivera has crafted two specialized programs with protocols that include evidence based and practical management for diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia, and patient education sessions.

Non-emergency consultations for neuromuscular disorders are also available for qualifying patients. . This will include a consultation with a detailed report and recommendations for common neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, myositis, muscular dystrophies, CIDP, post-Guillain Barré, and post-polio syndrome.
