Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative healthcare model where physicians partner with their patients to provide primary care services under a flat, monthly membership fee. By moving outside of the administrative burdens of the traditional insurance-based billing system, DPC practices are able to provide a wide spectrum of care in a transparent, affordable manner. DPC practices—now a grassroots movement numbering over 1000 nationwide—are able to do this while offering patients a higher level of service, communication, and relationship, than what is often found elsewhere in our “healthcare system”.
In addition to removing administrative burdens and saving costs, DPC provides time to be careful, thorough and personal in our patient care. We can take care of 90% of your healthcare needs if we have the time to be thorough and do research if necessary. We offer only 30 minute and 60 minute office appointments.
We also are more accessible than the typical primary care physician. We will provide the care you need in the most effective, efficient manner. That could be by an email message, a phone call, an in person office visit or a home visit. It can also be during our office hours or at night or on a weekend if needed. Because we have fewer patients we can provide more personalized service.
Last, but not least, we can save you money on your other healthcare needs. Because we have time to be more thorough and careful, we can avoid costly unnecessary tests and referrals. Because we are accessible we can save you from unnecessary Emergency Room or Urgent Care visits. We provide lab services and medications at greatly reduced prices and can connect you with radiology services also at significant savings.
